Perhaps the fork became detached from the pivot point inside the trans. Mine became partially disconnected and when I would drive normal the pedal pressure was fine but when I went high rpms the clutch pressure would decline and sometimes stay on the floor. Turned out that the fork was pivoting on the opening of the transmission.

Did not find this out until it broke loose and locked the clutch to the flywheel and left me stranded on the highway. Crawl underneath and remove the rubber boot from the transmission and check to see that everything is aligned properly.

Hopefully this is not the case as I would assume the issue I had would be quite rare

I'm hoping this isnt the case, but it sounds more like a crankwalk issue to me...?

Put the car in neutral, put a ratchet (3/4 or 19mm socket) on the front engine crank bolt and turn the engine a few times by hand. Make sure it is not stuck.

It turns fine. The bottom one on the left. I used the 3/4 on it.
