my car wont start unless i pump the gas
so after the dyno, my car ran and felt really good.
now, after work the other day, i started the car and it cranked for like 5 secs before it actually started. it really struggled to start.
got home and turned the car off and turned it back on, same thing, just not as long this time
next day, it didnt start at all. started to pump the gas pedal couple times while starting and thats the only way i can start my car now. takes me 2 tries everytime to start the car.
so anyone have any idea what it could be.
messed up vortech wiring?
fmu + fpr over working the stock injectors?
something obvious that i havent checked?
it also hesitates here and there while driving. mostly accel from a red light
cant think of anything else that could be malfunctioning
even with this, i had to play with the z06 that was toying with me
off the line he got me since i sliped the clutch slowly, hit vtec and was on his ass till 3rd when a car cut us off .
very kewl guy, only good side of the weekend.
car still works as of now if i do what i posted above, drives fine and everything

I had a similar problem after changing valve covers ended up this thing (forgot what it was called was loose) might want to check it out. This is on the back side of the passenger side of the Valve Cover. Hope this helps. Had something to do with Top Dead Center.

I agree with checking all wiring connections, all sensors (especially the MAP) and check fuel pressure. Checking all hose connections not a bad idea, either.
ps. I don't think "pumping the gas" on a fuel injected car does what it does on a carbed car. You may get the same results if you just floored it while cranking. This, to me, points towards a fuel issue (even though it may be instigated by an electronic or vacuum problem).

I was told to NEVER pump the gas when trying to start the s2k. Supposedly it is very easy to "float" the injectors.

well i went to see if i could figure something out.
i disconnected the neg to restart the ecu.
after that, i started the car, took about 5 sec. but it started, i didnt step on the gas pedal
i let it idel for like 1-2min, my idle rpm dropped to around 1.-1.5 where it should be when its still cold and than went back up to 2k
i turned the car off and on again, started fine but still idled at 2k rpm, and than i got the check engine light. i would like to say i heard some weird noises but mayb i was just paranoid. i dont know what to do now.
should i try starting the car again tomorrow? can i drive it if it starts up
this sucks...
