Default My A/C is Going CRAZY

My A/C went out last friday, just quit blowint Cold air. But it was still blowing air. So I called Honda on Monday and made an appointment for Tuesday morning to have them look at it. About an hour a after I made the appointment with honda it just started blowing cold again. So Weird! then it worked for another day or so and then quit blowing cold again. But now I have noticed that when it isn't working if I throw it in low gear while driving to get the RPM's up it will blow cold again. So I am thinking it might be some kind of heat sensor or something like that. Please Help!!!

Have a shop with good AC equipment look at it. There isn't much you can do yourself to service an AC system. It possibly has an electrical problem, or a refrigerant leak.

I've seen several cars at the dealership do exactly this.Sometimes its a low charge (leaking condenser).I've also seen the thermostat on the evaporator unit malfunction causing an ac shutdown.Have you ever had the ac serviced before? If so it is also possible that the system has been overcharged.

There's also allegedly a WOT (wide open throttle) sensor that shuts the compressor off, that could be something else to have a look at.

There is no "WOT" sensor anywhere. The PCM turns the compressor off based on RPM. I believe it's 7000, or 7500. Modifry knows the exact rpm#.

My bad, could be a faulty PCM then, but most likely on an 01, it's a low charge.
