I can't seem to find the answer but my ap1 is imported from US. I bought it from a dealership (like used car dealership). My DRL uses the side corner light below the turn signal light. My high beam does work when i press on it but it just doesnt glow as DRL.

I see every ap1/ap2 uses the high beam as DRL ...

How can i make my DRL using high beam?

when your car was imported into canada, it did not have any DRL's. the importer had to install some in order to pass inspections. there are a few ways to do this:

1) install a DRL control module that dims the high beams (most expensive method)
2) use a relay to wire up the low beams to turn on any time the car is on (this method is cheap because it only requires 1 relay and very little wiring).
3) same as method 2 but parking lights are turned on instead of low beams

you probably have method 3 because it's a cheap and dirty way to get the car to pass inspections.
