It may vary from state to state but some require lifetime warranty on restraint systems as long as any damage or fault was not caused by the owner/operator. If it turns out to be a failed sensor or seat lock connection, it may be covered. Worth a look. Speaking of California, I have had an 04 MDX (seat buckle electrical failure-plus replaced recalled airbags) and a 94 TBird (mechanical buckle failure) covered by the law. Dealer fixes.

Update: Still good no light yet sooo guess it just worked itself out haha... but yea I will pull the law into it since it is a safety issue, if it comes up again lol

But all is good. Have had this car for almost three years now and has never given me a problem cept this (which really wasn't a problem), and I drive this car daily still pulls great and feels very solid.

If it does come back on in the future you can pull the code yourself with a paper clip.

Hey guys, SRS light on here too, and I cannot find for the life of me the detailed instructions how to use the paperclip to pull the code. I don't want to reset it, I need to know what it is first.

Google and forum search only pull up how to reset it, pages upon pages of how to reset, but none on how to pull it.

Can someone provide the link or detailed instructions? (I'm a simpleton, I need detailed instructions).

thanks!

I'm getting an intermittent airbag light. It comes on about every second time the car is started, and comes on two or three more starts, then the cycle starts again. I'm not getting the SRS light just the airbag light. I've tried the reset with the paper clip, it doesn't work. Does anyone have experience with this problem?

Not following you, the SRS light is the airbag light.

Thanks for the reply, I thought it was, but wasn't sure. Some of the Youtube video's for the reset procedure show a 'SRS' light and not the 'Airbag' light. I've tried the reset many times, it doesn't work. Is there anyway to pull a code so I can locate the problem? Thanks for your help!

Billman can chime in on this aspect of "some" circuit boards on the airbag module for the S2000. I am not sure if this may apply to the S but given that the light flashes a code, it is possible the issue is in the airbag module. I had an issue with another vehicle and discovered via the flashing code that a circuit board mounted "breaker" fuse had melted after detecting a short in an impact detection line. The board commits suicide this way to prevent inadvertent deployment of the airbags. You must remove the board and un-solder the fuse and install a new one. I had to do this about 5 times on my other car as I discovered that rain could cause the problem short. I purchased fused in lots of 5 for about $20. It became a 15 minute job for me to replace the board fuse. A refurbished board was running about $800. The fuses are the size of a resistor.

Thanks for the info....I'm not getting a flashing light, the Airbag icon just stays on about every other start and stays on for the next two or three starts, then goes away again. Where is the circuit board you worked on located?.....And where did you find the fuses?
