First let me say I know this has probably been discussed to death and I am a newbie, but I could not find any thread in the search.

Wondering why I keep seeing posts that suggest 02-03 models dyno higher than 00-01 models? I thought I read a post saying it was an ecu difference but is there more than that? Can an ugrade to 02-03 spec be made easily? Can it be done with a swap of an 02 ECU into a 01 wiring harness?

The engines are all supposed to be the same (same part numbers), and I have read about people putting '02+ ECUs in '00-'01 models without problems. The only issue is getting the immobilizer to work with the old key, but a Honda dealer can reprogram it.

You should PM TenBlade about this (or maybe he'll pipe in here). I believe his cost was about $500. Not sure if it's worth it IMO since a vafc plus tuning will cost about $100 less.

Stupid question #2, would the 01 computer be "flash programmable"? Meaning could you have the 01 computer changed to run the 02-03 program at a Honda dealer?
