Default Mugen hardtop install

Hey guys I'm having my Mugen hardtop painted and installed this week and I wanted to know what I should do with the softop? Can it stay down in the car with the hardtop installed or will it need to be completly removed? Thanks for the help sorry if this is a dumb question.

IF it were an 02 or later I would recommend you take it off and send it to me. But as it's an 01 just leave it there.

just something to point out...the soft-top components and motors apparently weigh 60 so lbs. if you want to save weight....you can...

I just know that when the time comes for me to go hardtop, I am removing the softtop and its components because I use the car for a lot of racing and want to save as much weight as possible...

hardtop weighs around 42lbs... soft top around 60lbs....removing the soft top is not really worth it unless you 1. plan to track your car heavily or 2. never plan on driving with the top down/top off..
