Mugen fan switch and thermostat install

My coolant sender is mounted 6 inches (as per instructions) back from the radiator on the top hose. Do you think I should relocate it closer to the block?

It's not absolutely neccessary to remove the gaurds. You can use a 12'' 3/8 drive extension and remove the switch from under the car, without removing anything.
