Default Mugen ecu or VAF-C

Ok, if you had mugen header/exhaust/cai would you opt for the vaf-c or the mugen ecu?? I've read several threads and even spoke to King. They say that the ecu is pre-programmed to work with the other mugen mods?? T or F?? I'm kind of leaning towards the mugen ecu to maximize all the mods and also the fact that its plug and play really is a plus for me. I figure if I can't afford 93+ octane gas, then I'll just put the stock back on for a while.

tks in advance for ur input.

I think label whores should remain loyal

Mugen ECU couple with the header and exhaust makes the car breathe like it was suppossed to. Do stay up on your gas though, so cali gas is nothing to brag about.

Mugen required 92+ octane gasoline for the Mugen ECU (of couse, S2000).. so, you should have no problem with it. if you are gonna keep the car N/A, I think Mugen ECU is a good idea. but if you may want the FI later, then V-AFC gives you the fuel tuning ability. I have Mugen ECU alone with Spoon header, Mugen CAI, BYS cat, Amuse exhaust and Toda cams, it works perfect.. And really, it is just a plug and play thing, I love it..

Mugen ECU gives you a better performance at the mid end... at least I felt the tq is better than stock...

The only real advantage that i can see on the mugen unit is that it also advances timing,

go with the Mugen ECU.... if your mods are made by a specific company, then you'll optimize their performance with an ECU made by that company... It is designed to run a complete system, so I would advise making sure you have all the little mods ( radiator cap and oil cap, etc.) before running it, as it changes pressure and boiling points....
