In all the discussions on oil since the S2000 came into existance, this oil has rarely been brought up, let alone been called the "best" for our cars. Look here:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=195574
So, who are these "some people" who make this claim?

just read in a magazine called EVO (they had an s2k for a year as a long term test drive project) that this oil offers a smoother engine run (especially when the engine is cold or very hot after hard use) and also that there is the minimun oil consumption.

Motul makes fine products but their motor oil is not widely available in the States.. that is why it is rarely recommended on the board.

I've use the Motul 300V Power Racing 5W-30 grade for the past 4 years and have no complains especially with maintaining oil temperatures on the track and hard winding road use.

The only downside is, the oil needs to be more frequently changed out to ensure it's performing at it's optimal range. I make an oil change and oil filter change every 2500KMs instead of the usual intervals.

I'm planning on running Motul's 5W30 in my engine in a few days. Motul synoils are all my shop carries. They say it's the best, and I trust them...until RR says otherwise.

Does anyone know of a place to get Motul synoils at a decent price?

Who are "they"?

Motul has not produced very impressive results in any of the oil analysis posts that I've seen.
I'd rather use Redline 10w30 or 5w40.

"They" = "my shop" = South Florida Performance

Here's a link to the BITOG(Bob Is The Oil Guy) forums, in case some don't know about it, so everyone can start doing their own research.

Both Motul and Redline don't seem to produce great UOA's and I still can't find an oil for the S2000 that I feel completely comfortable using.
