Motor swap help
I hydrolocked my motor, and it is not salvagable at all. I have found a used motor, but it is from an 05 car. What is needed to make it work on my 07 dbw? Doing research at the moment. Decided this is the route I want to go, cheapest and fastest.

It shouldn't be too bad. You will need to transfer over the throttle body, injectors, fuel rail, coils, intake manifold, and valve cover (single TDC sensor vs. double TDC sensor) from your factory engine to the donor engine.

I forgot the 06+ didn't have the air injection system, so you must transfer over your entire intake manifold from your factory motor to the donor motor. I amended my first reply. In that case you won't need a throttle body gasket or the fuel injector seals and gaskets as you can transfer the manifold over without disturbing those parts. You'll need to use the old fuel rail which is on the manifold too.
You will need an intake manifold gasket though as they should not be re-used. For the valvecover just get the upper gasket kit - spark plug hole seals, valvecover gasket, and the valvecover bolt seals as one kit. I would not re-use the old valvecover gaskets as leakage into the spark plug tubes will cause serious problems if it happens later down the road.
