Dude i owe you a cookie. You gotta be the most helpful guy on the forums!

I am going to journal all this and print it all.

What all do i need to worry about besides that? and do you put some oil in the cylinders at first?

I used to run amsoil, any reason you prefer mobil 1? and while i am at it, what do you use for diff and trans?

1. Fascinating story, can't wait to read the rest of it, but, I must say I truly am sorry for all your fright over the matter; I would have worried myself sick until I had put thousands of miles on the car.
2. I truly hope all ends well.

Wow good story. When I read the part that they were replacing the engine, I was going to say... Until they find out how much they are Lol.

As of now, the car is at the local Honda dealership. An inspector is coming to look at it Tuesday after the dealership give its initial cost estimate. The cash value of my car, according to the lady on the phone, is 13,000$. I paid 11k for it 30 thousand miles ago. Hopefully the car will not be totaled. Worst case scenario i will take the check and fix the car. Then figure out what to do with the salvage title.

I am picking up my rental car here in the next hour, so i am very happy things are moving smoothly. Once i was contacted by the insurance company, she was sending out word orders as we spoke. The car was taken from the shop and sent to Honda within an hour of me being off the phone, and i was contacted by Honda as well as Enterprise Rental within 30 minutes.

Very pleased so far.

Anyone know much about salvage titles etc? My main concern is insurance coverage. I have full coverage currently. I know there used to be "reappraisals" and such. And i know people take total wreck shells and build cars out of them, just wondering how all that works if anyone can chime in!

Thanks.

Plus they use.alldata which is garbage for an s2000 imo.

They called me 20 minutes after i left to say they will be buying a new motor and.installing it. I am very pleased with how it is being handled. A new motor is going to be ordered from honda.

Anyone know how to reset mileage? Lol
Wow! fantastic. You got pretty lucky here my friend, count your lucky stars
