Gravity bleed during the spring/summer ... have a beer while watching it bleed!

Gravity bleed only works for systems with no air in them, which is fine for most people. If you've opened the system (swapped lines, installed a new caliper, etc), you need to either pressure bleed or do the old school 2 man operation we all know and love.

I'll add to the thread that the vacuum style bleeders suck. Stick with a pressure system. The vacuum style pulls in atmospheric air from around the bleed nipple so you'll never know if you're pulling air out of the brake lines or from the surrounding air.
