Crazy,
Look at his avitar, it is a picture of his car with the parachute deployed. It is an S2000 engine and transmission in a very special vehicle that you will never see on the street. It is not an S2000 chassis. It is a type of car called a streamliner because of the totally aerodynamic shape. All it does is go FAST in a straight line to set speed records, hopefully.

Whew! I'm glad we got all that sorted out.
BTW it was a Dyno Jet. The weighted knid, not the water pump kind (I think). Supposedly you can't "fudge" them like you can a water kind (???).
Oh well...
In any event the mill really sings now.
All the best,
Jim

Hey, Sideways,
I'm thinking it could be a little less, given that I'm running a 2.28 with the lightest Mobil synthetic gear lube I can find and y'all are running 4.11's or 4.77's.
But it's still a stock tranny (never even checked the oil) a 7.5" long "driveshaft" that still has two u-joints, axle bearings, drum brakes set to not drag at all. If I have any driveline advantage it is in the 60-70 PSI Kojak smooth Bonneville tires I run. The rubber is only about .5 to 1 millimeter thick, they are, I think, 12 or 14 ply, i.e., really stiff.
I really think it's in my home built exhaust and the Electromotive Tec III and the fact that we have only one parameter we are going for... go like Heck above 5000 rpm with no driveability, gas mileage, cold starting, and/or EPA considerations at all.
All the best,
Jim

Jim, I noticed we are very similar in lbs per hp. at just under 7.6. My S is unbelieveable so I can imagine the thrill of driving your setup. Good luck be with you and set some records.
