just because the cams that have been available were junk doesn't mean cams don't do anything. Going with a thinner gasket will require a tune.

Group buy for BC cams:

You cannot bore the FRM sleeves out really.

You are only allowed to re-bore the factory sleeves 0.01" (.25mm)...just try and picture how small that is. It will not do anything at all for performance purposes.

If you want to run 1-3mm oversize bore's, you will need to have new aftermarket sleeves installed with pistons. It's also very hard to find aftermarket pistons that will work with OEM sleeves because of the high silicone content required for the OEM sleeves.

Ok so when I am putting in my stock size jdm pistons, am I able to hone the walls slightly to allow for better breakin or completely disregard that and let the new rings try to work with the old walls?

I think you might be doing more harm than good here. You should get the .25mm oversize pistons unless you have a NEW bare block from Honda. If you have a used engine, the bore will not be perfectly round (exactly 87.00mm all around). Whenever you are putting new pistons into a used sleeved block you must oversize. You can hone the slighly oversized block without issues. You also must hone when you install new rings to allow the rings to seat evenly all around.

Not doing things correctly will instead of making your engine make more power like you are going for will just rob hp & efficiency. Improper ring seal will boost oil consumption and it would be hard even for the krank vents to help out in cases like that.

This is what i figured with honing for new rings. Now i am wondering if the J's JDM pistons would have come .25mm oversized for proper fittament?!?!

Otherwise who makes higher compression pistons which are available in .25 oversize for 12:1 compression?

There's no one that I know of that makes off the shelf high silicone pistons .25mm oversize. I would contact some companies like CP if they can custom make you a set. They would be of significantly higher quality than many of the other pistons and CP pistons are accurate to 0.001" which is just amazing. I believe JUN also makes pistons but you can probably buy a ton of other things for the price of those.

FYI JUN pistons are made by Cosworth Engineering.
