Default Modifry ECT

I have an AP1, just installed the ECT from Modifry. Based on his chart I am constantly over 190, just idling in my garage. The fan seems to kick on at over 205, because I bump to 5 bars briefly then back down to 4 at the end of the cycle. This to me seems hot for just sitting in the garage. Also I would have expected the fan to kick on sooner. Any thoughts??

I suppose this is why they had such a huge range on the OEM, didn't want people like me freaking out, lol

I get 4 bars from time to time not for long but 4 bars makes me worry. My guess seeing 4 bars from time to is normal ...never seen 5

My fan doesn't even kick on until 5 bars though. Which reading on here it seems that the OEM fan switch is around 206, which would coincide with 5 bars. Does your guys fan ever kick on?

You guys both do have the Modifry ECT upgrade right?

With the ECT mod right? Just want to be sure we are comparing the correct readouts.

Yes modifry ect. Without it the OEM gauge wont work with the AEM v1. When I was supercharged I only saw 4 bars when it was really hot out. Now with the turbo cruising 55-60 with some stop n go it will go to 4 bar for a few then drop back to 3. I'm still running my SC tune for break in. So no boosting.

Hmmm, I was in the garage running for 15min. I guess I will see what it does when I get out and drive it. Since the fan kicks on and the temperature drops I am guessing it is how the car has always ran, I just never knew because of the OEM gauge
