Default Mobile m1-104 oil filter

Is this the correct oil filter? I did a search and found nothing on the m1-104.

yes, that is the correct filter...and despite what some may claim here, it will outperform the stock filter, I've used it for about 2,000 miles now, and no, it doesn't back off the threads or any such nonsense

i am using this filter, and am on my second one. It will be my last as I noticed that the filter has some serious build quality issues. They used way too much glue to attach the filter and filter base to the rest of the filter body. You can actually see and feel blobs of glue when you look in the filter. There was also excess glue on the rubber valve and oil holes on the base of the filter that I had to scrape off.

I was in a bind so i had to use it, but plan on taking it off as soon as possible and replacing with the s2000 specific honda filter.

Very disappointed with Mobil 1.

The oversized M1 filters do have a tendancy to vibrate and loosen more easily than the stock filter. I would not use one again without a safety wire on it.

Theres been a few cases on this board of the Mobil 1 filter backing off and causing problems.

Haven't heard of one yet from the s2000 specific filter from Honda.
