Mobil 1 turns real dark after couple thousand mile
I started runnnig Mobil1 10-30 or 40 about 2 oil changes ago. My car currently has around 28k on it. The oil turns real dark brown after mayb like 2k. I do take my car to frequent high rpms. Is this something I should worry about or does every1s oil turn dark after that amount of millage?
Thanks

No need to change "dark" oil so soon (3k mile oil change)
What is the purpose of engine oil?
#1 - Lubricate
#2 - Cool
#3 - Protect all engine parts from accidic blow-by products by keeping them suspended and neutralize them.
IMO those are the main 3 things engine oil has to do.
Turning dark is part of those processes, it is normal.
Modern dino engine oils are very good and they will still have all of the 3 qualities, even when they are pitch black after 7500 miles or more as a lot of UOA's have shown.
No need to change oil when it gets dark (or black).
Do you want to know what you are doing?
Do you want to know in what shape your drained oil was?
Save some oil, have a UOA done.
After that you'll think twice about changing it out so frequently.

I use Mobil1 and justed happened to have checked mine this afternoon. It is golden brown after just over 2,000 miles. No need to worry in my opinion.
