Yup sucks...still waiting for the dealer to call
Hardtopguy will sell you an entire longblock brand new for $4k..... you figure about $1k to swap it....$5k and you are rolling with a brand new engine.

or find someone's swap from their wrecked S2000.....

you will end up paying a normal dealer about $8k to fix that mess......

goodluck.

This thread should be interesting for you. A 00-03 2.0 is replaced by a 04 2.2.

Where are you? Maybe billman250 is close to you and could do this for you?

You'd see my face in a mug shot on national television after beating his a$$ and pimping his girlfriend to repay the money.

sorry to hear, but dont give up hope, i did the same exact thing a few months ago, went from 3rd to second at 9K. hit the clutch in immediatly, but my car still ran after that. i ended up with 1 broken intake valve, and 1 cracked retainer. ended up costing 1300 (and i had a coupon for another 10% off that) , the tech said that it was amazing that nothing else was messed up. i was expecting around 5 Gs. took about a week and a half to fix, and its ran fine since :knockonwood: it actually felt stronger when i got it back than before i messed it up, and i get better gas mileage now.
