The efficiency of a radiator is all in the surface area exposed to an air stream, a radiator works best when air aims perpendicular, and has greatest surface area. Thicker radiators cause higher pressure drop and don't necessarily have better cooling. A lot has to do with end tank design as a well designed end tank can move fluid just as well as a thicker core. An upgraded radiator will not be any thicker than stock, but will have some really nice end tanks.

Gonna upgrade my radiator in the next couple of weeks and I found a new X-Line for $270 something. Now I dont know much about radiators so should I stick with the 2 row or are there any benifits of the 3 row over 2. Im not tracking the car anything just a DD until I find me a replacement DD.

From the manufacturer's website: " Each new X-Line radiator application has 3 rows for a core that is 25% larger than standard radiator applications"

They also don't provide heat transfer efficiency measurements, so the benefits going with a 3-row core are unknown. As your purchase is merely cosmetics, get whichever is cheaper.

Yea was wishing someone knew cause I wanted to compare the specs. But thanks for the input/help
Thanks for the interest in our S2000 radiators! For daily use and occasional track/auto-x use, our standard 2-row unit will certainly be sufficient. If you are running a forced induction setup or frequently track the vehicle for long durations, our 3-row unit is going to be a safer bet. Both of our radiators are designed with extremely efficient cores and feature full aluminum construction which provides greater reliability. As you mentioned, they also look great in your engine bay!

Let us know if we can answer any additional questions! Good luck with the thermostat install and coolant system refresh!

Thanks
-John

I hope you improved your radiator caps
It took me months to figure it out what was wrong with my cooling system
I ran months with cooling leaking/steaming from the radiator cap and i not sure the problem is completely solved
Thank god i didn't destroyed my engine because of your CQ

From a cooling performance standpoint, I agree. I upgraded mine for reliability; every OEM Honda radiator I've had has eventually cracked (at the plastic end-cap).

Amen to that!

My radiator is great, but the cap leaked right from the start.

I contacted Mishimoto about it (hoping to get a new cap ASAP since it was my daily driver at the time) and they asked a slew of questions and were going to want me to send the bad cap back in (before they'd send me a replacement).......had to go get one locally on my own dime.

Terrible customer service.

At least they offer you a replacement
When i called they told me to take a pair of pliers and bent the tabs
I drove the car today and i could smell coolant ...again
I will order a spoon radiator cap and hopefully that will fix the problem

Its a known problem for years and they do nothing to fix it

Wow......

I found a good fit at AutoZone (it's plain, so it matches the radiator nicely).

go with koyo...has the best reviews...just purchased a blackwerks radiator which is supposedly a copy of mishimoto, from evasive motorsports. the cap was garbage and cant get the fan hole to stop leaking...billman called evasive to tell them how horrible the machining was on it and the guy said "oh yea i wouldent put that in my car"...they should not sell it if its garbage...they are sending me a new one (koyo with cap) 315 for radiator 30 for cap before i send the other one bak which is nice......good replacement cap for the mishimoto is 2003 nissan maxima from autozone ..it seals good
