Default Misfiring, went through some steps, whats next?

OK so story goes,

Original misfire was in cylinder 1. I figured it could be cause it was going hot/cold/hot/cold in temp. I deleted it and it then it came back 2 weeks later. Oddly, during the day is was hot then at night it was about 40 degrees. As soon as i started the car. CEL came on. I figured mayba plugs so i bought and installed new ones.

2 days pass and my CEL comes on. It says misfire in cylinders 1,2,3 and random misfire. Now i am somewhat stumped. My car idles fine and it feels as strong as normal (no difference in how car runs). I followed the correct steps for the plug install (torqued to 18 ft/lbs). They are oem plugs i got from hardtopguy. I plan to pull those and check the gap. If they are within spec, I will get some new coils. I am hoping this fixes the problem.

oh yeah, I leave wed for a long road trip 20+hrs. Have a track event there. I need to get this fixed asap. Just asking for suggestions. I am assuming if coils don't fix my problem, it could be my injectors.

Also, I never reset my ecu after spark plug install so I will go do that as well. Thanks for the help!

Also, I had a valve adjustment done at honda in between the 1st and second CEL. I asked the mechanic if anything was bent or messed up. He said everything was good. The exhaust valves were a bit off while the intake ones just a lil off spec. The mechanic is also a S owner and a friend so I trust his work.

Sounds like you already know what the next (minor) step would be, to reset ECU and possibly recheck the plugs...

Probably not the best idea to drive down 20+ hours to a track event like that tho..

there have been some known issues with fuel injectors, this sounds similar to what happened to me. Even though it was only one injector, it did cause that same random misfire. It took a bit to sort it out, but mine kept throwing cyliner 3 misfire and I swapped injectors around and when the misfire moved I knew thats what it was and replaced it. Smooth as glass ever since.

I did plugs, swapped coils around, then tried injectors. Took me a bit to sort it out.

good luck!

update...

i redid the spark plug install this morning at 5am. I made sure everything was torqued properly. Then i reset the ecu. I drove to school and back, restarted the car a few times and so far no CEL. I am hoping my troubles are over. *crosses fingers*

We just had a guy in our club with this problem and it turned out to be the injectors. Sent them off to be reworked, about $90, problem solved.
