Default Is this a misfire

When I shift over 6,000 rpm's I am hearing a popping noise from my exhaust.

I am currently not getting a cel, however I don't remember my car doing this.

It seems to be running fine. Is this a misfire? I have brand new plugs gapped correctly so we can rule that out.

Any thoughts

Thanks,

Jesse P

Unburned fuel delivered to exhaust when it's hot enough to ignite it there....

What fuel managment are you running with the Vortech... and how much boost?

stock boost and Vortech black box or stock ECU.

I thought I heard someone discribe before that when they heard that popping from there exhaust they were about to have a misfire cel.

What could cause the backfires?
