myself and praying that nothing is wrong with the engine or the tran. So now I come to you guys for help.

on the 8k to 8.5k downshift. 2nd gear on ap2 goes all the way to 57 MPH. what you might have done is not put the gear all the way in and you hear like a crunch and it probably popped out to neutral. the smelll probably the clutch...

You have a new car. I also had a weird smell in the beginning and worried but did a search here in the forums and read that it is the smell of...vtec of a new car. I could be wrong though but do a couple searches like "burnt smell" or something of that sort and you'll find the answer. Mines never smelled like that again. Mines was also new when I bought it. I never broke mines in. I drove it the way it's meant to be driven since day one and it runs like a champ.
