Minor help needed with transmission install
[attachment=3666:Transmission boot.png]
I just finished installing my clutch. Then I jack the transmission up to line it up to the engine. As I just got the lower bolts snugged up, #3 falls off of #5 (in the diagram). It was a real PITA to get the transmission to line up with the engine.
So my question is: How is #3 attached to #5?
Do I need to unbolt the transmission, lower it and reinstall #3 to #5? Or Could I do this while the transmission is in place?
Thanks in advance.

you will need to lower the back of the trans a little. no need to unbolt it.
That boot has a groove in it. The plate fits in the groove. Once you work the boot into the plate, it will stay firmly in place on the transmission.
