Default Mileage getting on up there already...

I currently run Mobil 1 Synthetic in mY01 with 93,000 miles. I am curious if I should switch to the Mobil 1 Max Life (i think its called) synthetic blend for high mileage cars or something else? Or should I stick with Mobil 1 synthetic still?

Hmmm... I suppose it wouldn't hurt considering it's still a synthetic blend.

I wonder what would the benefits be? And how's it different? If it has added benefits over the regular synthetic, wouldn't lower mileage cars benefit from it also? *Paging Road Rage*

Until RR reports in, here's my take on it.
Has your engine been running well? Has it been using oil at all and if so, has it been "acceptable"? If so, why try to fix what isn't broke? There is no magical mileage when a different oil is needed. If the engine is happy and you're happy, just keep on keepin' on.

I have been using mobil 10/30 synthetic since the late 80's in all my vehicles. I ran several over 200,000 miles on it. Synthetic blends are usually 20% synthetic 80% conventional(according to my castrol rep) I am rambling my coffee hasn't kicked in yet.

It seems my engine may be ingesting more oil than is normal. I'd say 1.5qts every 3000k miles or so, which doesnt seem to be much more outside from normal tho jsut a little bit more. I'm also taking into consideration that with both of my o2 sensors needing replacement that it could have been a contributing factor to oil consumption and the car running as rich as a hersheys chocolate bar. I'm replacing stock cat with a straight pipe and both o2 sensors (with mechanical simulator mod on the pipe) and then maybe I should make another evaluation at that point in time. Thanks for the input, anymore would be appreciated as always.
