Might have a proble.....
Ok So i have my head off my car . for the past few weeks ive been hitting my bare engine with wd40 to keep it lubed and no corosion. Today I notice that 3 of the cylinders have wd left in them but the first cylinder was bare no fluid on top of the piston. Im thinkin maybe the rings are shot or maybe the wd is just to thin? inputs please... or could it be that due to the motor not running the rings arent expanding?

First, I don't think using WD40 in this manner is the best idea. I wouldn't want wd 40 in my oil pan, nor would I want it on the cylinder walls when I started the motor (seeing as how its flamable).
If you want to know if your rings are bad, you need to do a compression test if nothing is visibly wrong. Or a leak down test. I'm not sure spraying wd40 in there counts as a leak down test man.
