How many people here are really considering purchasing this product if it comes out? i know i am for one... but for those who just whine about a product, and have no intentions of buying.... go vent elsewhere....

I for one am very interested in this system. I believe the roots type to be a much better design than the centrifical, making a much faster car for the same hp. This system could actually be lower hp(lower boost and easier on the engine) than comptech and still be faster by providing a much fatter torque and hp curve.
I also believe it maintains the personality of the S2000 by keeping a very level torque curve.
Of course the final decision will come when the system itself is released. Hopefully soon.
It also has the potential for reducing wear on the differential, compared to comptech, by having higher torque down low. People that like sidestepping (not me) may then be able to launch at lower rpm without bogging, this can dramaticaly reduce the shock the drivetrain sees. Obviously just speculation at this point.

Well before I'm interested in buying it, I'm interested in actually seeing it!
Haven't made a decision yet as to whether or not to go FI, but if I do go FI, an Eaton blower is at the top of my list.

I disagree hpalmer, but a roots type blower wouldn't really maintain the personality of the S2000 (that's kind of the point). If you've ever drive a car with a roots type blower you'd know what I mean. The S2000 naturally has very linear power, you have to keep the revs up to make more power. The roots type blower has a huge punch off the line, that's the advantage of it.
No where in a description of the S2000's personality will you find the phrase "punch off the line"
A centerfugal type blower is more of an amplifier to the NA nature of the S2000.

just thinking.... back then when I have the B18C1 GS-R motor, I have
a root-type SC (JRSC @ 6psi) and Jacking Racing came out soon later
with a JRSC for the Type-R B18C5 motor. However, the boost level
was about 1psi lower than the GS-R motor due to the compression ratio.
The USDM Type-R's CR is 10.6:1 and GSR is slightly lower (10.0:1?), I talked to Jacking Racing and they say the reason they lower the boost
level is because the root-type SC kicks in real fast (low-end power) so
the they have to lower the boost on the Type-R motor.
Now the question is, since our F20C motor has a 11.0:1 compression
ratio, if there is a root-type SC, can we even run 6psi without blowing
up the motor???
For those that have never driven/owned a root-type SC, my old GS-R motor with JRSC hit full boost 6psi around 3500rpm and the rev limiter
was at 8200rpm. The boost comes up real fast...
I think that's why people are saying the root-type SC should gain
more low end torque than the Comptech SC...but can our motors
handle the pressure at low rpm???
Any commets would be appreciated.
