Metal Shavings found after engine oil change

observations. they all look fairly uniform in size...let us know what material it is.
7500 miles OCI including track and auto-x duty in my book is asking for trouble...let alone your not running a full synth. I dunno the only way to tell if your oil is out is an oil analysis like said above, but 7500 is a little long imo cuz of a few issues, one changing the oil keeps you in tune with the engine for things like this.

for me, the sand was already in the oil pan and you didnt notice it was there after the oil change. maybe you store that oil pan close to the floor and the wind make the sand stick to it cause the old oil residues.
