Metal Scraps in differential fluid

^ There you go again RR, wanting specific information. I looked up the engineering definition for "metal scraps" and found this:
"Metal Scraps - (n) - Metallic residue usually found in gear boxes, transmissions, and the like. Consists of multiple pieces of varying sizes and shapes, normally smaller than a bread box but larger than a proton. Might be rounded or have sharp corners. Could be shiny or black. There could be 3 Metal Scraps or 3 trillion. Typical causes are misuse, neglect, or in some cases, normal wear. Suggested service recommendations - either do nothing or replace everything."
Here's the "metal sludge" mentioned earlier, which is perfectly normal, and is the only thing I've seen on my drain plug in 111k miles.
