Metal lumps in oil pan - non magnetic
Hello Everyone!
A couple of days back I dropped my oil pan to put in a baffle and found some metal lumps in there. They are not magnetic. Below are the pics.
The engine runs fine. There are no abnormal noises etc.
Any ideas what I'm up against and how to go about investigating it.
Appreciate all help and advice.

Yes. Removed the plate and didn't see anything out of order. But then, I am no expert on these things and might have missed something very obvious. Should have taken some pictures.

It would be good to know answers to bgoetz's questions above ^
When I first read non-magnetic I thought of bearing material, but it looks too "chunky" for bearing material, when bearings let go they tend to have a more thin and flat cleavage look to them. Based on that I would say they are chunks of aluminum, maybe from around the piston wrist pin, very hard to say though.
Remove the vtec solenoid and see if there is metal on the screen.

I hope your engine mount bolts aren't digging into the block casing.

There were some instances of Megan engine mount bolts causing block damage, mainly due to improper installation, that would be worth checking.
