+ side is getting around 5 volts, and resistance between other pin and ground is like .4 ohms. What the &^&^&*???

Well im assuming this is the srs unit connector being talked about, i ohmed from both MES connector terminal to both pins in this connector and both had either 100+ K ohms or around 40 M ohms.\

That sounds about right. On MY06 units, one side of the MES (Pin 2) is tied to chassis.

Ya i have an 01, so it would have continuity to pin a18, I wonder if that goes to a ground. im gonna try using my friends snap on scanner w honda software

UPDATE: Well i picked up a service manual which led me to figuring out theres a fuse missing in the fusebox!!! Replaced The fuse and now i can get the procedure to start!!! All the way up until the last step where its supposed to blink twice. It turns on, turns off, then comes back on. Does this mean im not doing the procedure correct? Or does it mean theres still a code and its just not going to clear it?

Can anyone confirm that if at the last step of the procedure if the light turns on, off, then back on, that there is still a code?
(as opposed to it turning on, off, on, off (blinking twice)

I worked at a Lamborghini store and we'd get Diablos in with airbag lights on. If the airbag light wasn't a fluke it would reappear after first going out by using the reset procedure ... Much like what (I think) you're alluding to
my experience tonight was exactly like your 2nd line (and what you read about in the DIY link you posted)
I just got my S last week and during my poking around and familiarization I disconnected the fuses and a connector under the dash and tripped the light on. I followed the procedure as prescribed in the link and am light free.

Thats likely the reason that the fuse was missing, the preious owner didn't want to fix the cause of the srs code.
