Im 99.9% sure at this point the terminals are connected. Can anyone verify any reason that the reset procedure would not work? I could understand that the timing is not right, but i cant even get it started, According to this DIY, first step is to have ignition off an the terminals connected, then turn ign on and light turns off and comes on. this never happens.

Did i read wrong and you installed an aftermarket steering wheel? If so the light will not go off if the airbag is out. If not then turn off ignition insert jumper in plug turn key on while light is on like in the first 2 seconds remove jumper light should blink then reinsert jumper and remove it again then the light should go off, it takes right timing. I believe that is the correct sequence.

Is there an AIrbag installed on the steering wheel or any any type of resistor installed on the airbag connector?

Yes its the stock steering wheel, he switched it over to stock from his aftermarket wheel.

according to this -http://www.honda-acura.net/forums/do-it-yourself/243612-diy-scs-service-connector-and-srs-reset.html

The light is supposed to turn off and then back on and then u do the rest of the procedure., I can try to do what you are saying although thats not what ive read on some of the DIYs.

So disconnect the terminals while the light is still on? Gotta go to class i guess ill try wen i get back

Theres two plugs like that under there, clutch switch and the one you are looking for, are you sure you are not using clutch one?

according to what everyone and the pictures are saying its the smaller one. Just looked at the bigger one, unless its a different style of connector, i think the tab is broken off. Maybe it was messed with before? I guess ill try to get it out

The clutch switch isn't even close to the SRS connector. You're probing the correct one.

You can check to make sure you have continuity from the MES connector (the one you're probing) to the SRS unit itself.

MY00-05
MES Pin 1 - SRS Unit Pin A_8
MES Pin 2 - SRS Unit Pin A_18

MY06
MES Pin 1 - SRS Unit Pin A_5
MES Pin 2 - Chassis Ground

Ill do that tomorrow. I do know I'm getting 5 volts to the connector and and with two wires in and dmm. Leads to both wires also got 5 volts so wouldn't thatverify continuity to ground?
