Default medium pitched buzzing sound from driver rear

on a couple of occasions, i've heard this medium pitched buzzing sound from behind my ear.

it comes on with electrical power - meaning you don't have to actually start the car - the key can be in the accessory position.

the only electro-mechanical item that i'm aware of in that region is the fuel pump (or whatever that accordion like thing is).

i just got an s/c a few weeks ago and i'd never heard it before - in my car or any other NA S2000.

any ideas??

thanks.

fuel pump and yes, you don't need to start the car in order to hear it.

the stock one is quieter then the aftermarket one included with your Supercharger. So you are probably just noticing it now. If I remember right the Comptech Kit comes with an upgraded fuel pump.

The walbro fuel pumps are louder than the OEM pump. They get louder as the fuel gets lower in the tank.

The higher output/pressure fuel pump that came with my Vortech makes this really loud whining noise from time to time. There is no rhyme or reason to when it does it. It sometimes does it when the tank is full and sometimes when it's near empty. The car has never operated in any weird kind of way because of this. I just don't concern myself with it anymore.
