High Speed Steel Drills can come in many colours, such as GOLD, SILVER, BLACK etc... Some are of more high tensil than others. Black is the basis HSS...
Best if you use at moderate speed.. and lubricate with cutting oil, or lubrication oil while cutting.

The Mugen ECU and Megan De cat Installed.
The car runs fine... The mid range is totally different.
Its another car.
I had the O2 sensor removed from the plug socket and plugged the de cat.
Is this O.K.?
Cheers

just for reference i did it with 42009 (shorter ones with washers), I used both washers and everything is working perfectly, very straight foward thanks to this thread.
drilling it out was probably the hardest part, i didn't use the "steps" method, just went at it with a 1/2" bit.

Berk Technology S2000 straight pipes with built in mechanical O2 CEL fix: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=321104
Should I buy it to avoid having to do any drilling and worry about clearance?

So im curious... does anyone have an experience with the Mech o2 simulator with the Bosch Universal o2 sensor? I tried to manufacture the mech sim, drilled it out with half inch... NEARLY perfectly straight and it still was having clearance problems... like it needed to be 5/8" drill bit or more. I had to put my stock cat back on (which is bad) and I think it has already destroyed my sensor. I really would like to just buy the OEM sensor but cant justify spending $200 on the secondary when the universal is 1/4th the cost.

I purchased the Berk unit and have a CT SC and my Check Engine light did come on after 100 miles or so. Not sure why, but any suggestions would be helpful.

As a side note, I have removed my test pipe since the last time I posted here. I found that under F.I., the car simply stunk way too badly. It was just embarrassing. Also, it made my car far noisier than I wanted it to be. I put the cat back on.
