or
I have the 42009, are the only differences between these two the length and the 42009 having washers?

Is one better than the other?

Thanks

Philip

I don't think the shorter ones with the washers will fully house the O2 sensor. The longer ones (top photo) has bevelled ridge just beyond the threads. This is why they don't need washers. The longer ones will protect the sensor better. Not sure if this is important but I used the longer ones.

I just installed my test pipe with the shorter ones without using the washers and luckily I got no CEL and no clearance problems...

Thanks for the comment though...

Since the intall was kinda sudden I didn't even use a drill to make the hole bigger me and some friend took turns borring it out with a screwdriver!

It still works and the O2 sensor isn't harmed and it's all good...

That would have been something to see. Having done it on a drill press, I just can't imagine how you could do it that way. You must have a magic screwdriver.

It took a whyle, luckily we were smoking a hooka and working on another car to pass time...

Also the screwdriver didn't look bad afterwards, since it's sorta tappered there wouold be a different part of the screwdriver doing the cutting as the hole got bigger...

Rigged as hell but it did the trick at the last moment...
