Mechanical or Hydrolic supercharger?
I was talking to one of my friends who owns a 350z, and we starting into superchargers. After agreeing that it wouldn't help the s2000 down in the lower RPM range, he brought up the topic of mechanical and hydrolic superchargers. According to him you can attain higher boost levels at lower RPMS with one of these. Anyone ever heard of it? Feasability of it on the s??

Maybe this is what he was talking about:

Thats the mechanical one
This could be what he ment by a hydraulic supercharger but i doubt it: http://www.halfbakery.com/idea/pre-compres..._20supercharger

He's probably talking about the hydraulic turbochargers discussed in this months issue of SportsCompact Magazine. Its hydraulic driven instead of belt driven. Still a "concept" and nothing in production from what I understand.
