if he sends the head to the machine shop make sure they do a vacuum test on the valves.. you probably have a bent valve.

This EXACT same thing happened to me. I left my 120k mile tune-up and 30 miles later my CEL comes on. I bring back and they say cylinder 1 has 150, all the rest are at 250. They recommend a valve job. I take the car to a second mechanic where he says I only need a valve adjustment. He calls me after the valve adjustment and says I need a valve job (just like mechanic 1). I drove away and my CEL has been off ever since. HMMMMMMMMMM. I just don't know!

I too had a misfire. I had just performed the 105k mile service at the honda dealership and then a month later, blown head gasket.

be thankful your mechanic did a leakdown test before swapping out a ton of other parts that weren't bad...
