Default Is it me or is the TEIN RS kit a little soft at max stiffness

I just installed an RS kit on MY03 and I was a little dissapointed. Even at the full stiff setting it doesn't feel right. I assumed that the rebound and compression would be at least like like the stock suspension. Now the car handles with a little understeer. The suspension has less than 100 miles on it.

I adjusted it to TEIN's suggestion (90mm road clearance). Any input would be greatly appreciated. Did you guys switch out springs to 12kg? If this doesn't help my dilema I will probably end up selling this one and just staying stock.

Thanks

a little soft on the track or street? so you have damping & rebound on full stiff for both front & back? where does it understeer? on a corner entry or exit?

u r crazy as hell!!! the tein on full stiff is very hard...on the street i run 4 clicks in front and 2 in the rear...when i had it on 12 front and 10 rear...i couldnt even drive around town and forget about city driving...hahahahah...my girl was pissed because of the rough ride...i even took my car on a lil course to test the settings and i think they ride on rails when at full stiff

I'm using it on the street. Full stiff is clockwise right? It's set full stiff front/back upper and lower. Unless they gave me wrong directions. The car isn't as jumpy anymore (thats good right?). It doesn't seem to handle the same way when it was stock. Maybe it's me. Even my sister said that my suspesion was softer than stock. I have to put more effort when taking it around corners. I'll try to let it settle but I paid quite a bit for this suspension and I was told that is was stiffer than stock. I just hope I didn't get a defective set. This is second set as my first set they gave me 2 front left coilovers. I guess TEIN Japan let this one slip by. Have anyone tried the APEX TYPE V PRO? I heard that was even stiffer than TEIN. I may just go and pick up a set of those even though they do cost quite a bit more.

Thanks guys for your input.

Project I don't know if you want to come over and drive MY03 but it's definitely softer to me.

I guess I'll have to contact TEIN again.

I did check for proper adjustments from the instructions and they actually came preset. I know this because my friend and I installed his FLEX kit on his CT9A and I asked if he read the instructions and he said they were fine. NOT! TEIN usually presets them but they can move a little during shipping. I just made sure to tighten the collars up.

Man everyone so far said the stiffest setting is unbearable on the streets. Dangit! I wonder if I got a defective set? Man.... This is going to be my 3rd RS kit....

^ This is a mystery being that the stock spring rates are 218/290. The tein RS rates are 559/559. Even with the dampeners set to minimum compression and rebound settings, the Tein setup should still be stiffer than stock.

Thats what I'm saying... I guess I'll have to break them in for a few weeks and check how they feel... I just hope I don't have a defective set...
