Master cylinder socks...
The sock used to absorb moisture on my clutch master is soaking wet. I know it sounds logical but I would like to just make sure that's not a problem.
It's really hot out.
TIA

The socks were designed for racing use to catch any fluid that might spill out of the master cylinders on the brake and clutch system. But if your's are wet with brake fluid, then you have an issue. Take them off and rub your fingers on the fluid and smell to see what they are wet from - water, coolant, or brake fluid ?. They should not be wet from brake fluid, water from a rainstorm might be okay. Wet from engine coolant would not be good either. They only other fluid might be windshield washer fluid if you have a cracked sprayer on the hood.
Take off the socks and try to see what fluid they are soaked with.

Clutch fluid level is fine. There is no smell I can detect, I am kind of nervous about this.
Not coolant or washer fluid for sure.
This is really worrying me.

Today I realized I had washed my car 30 minutes before discovering the "issue"
I just never thought it could get that wet from a car wash and never made the connection.
