Default Master cyl replace or fix?

got clutch/brake fluid in my carpet under the clutch pedal...
is this a sure sign of needing to replace the master cyl or is there a fix (like a new rubber seal) that can be done?

pick up an omni power one, its an upgrade over the stock makes the clutch feel better and allows for quicker shifts

Omni-clutch master is garbage.

You don't need a new master either.

95% of all s2k clutch master cyls leak, from dirty fluid. Everyone can go look right now

Just change your fluid now, and every 5k miles, and the leak will stop. Guaranteed.

I think after time, the seals just corrode. The OP has a 00 s, you have an 01, and from what I've read here, CMCs can go bad in as little as three years.

Fwiw, I just replaced mine at 6 yrs old. I first flushed the fluid, but it was still leaking, with black build up at the plunger, which I took to be disintegrating rubber mixed with brake fluid. Ymmv.
