Default MASSIVE Electrical draw

We have a 2003 AP1 with barely 27k on it. It is a completely stock unit,we are the second owners. The car had 16271 on it when we bought it from the dealer that had originally sold and serviced the car from new in 2011 and had no issues. Recently,we have found that the car will not hold a charge and it is draining the battery rapidly. The car is charging as when we are driving I can run everything with no problems.but when the car is turned off it is dead shortly(minutes)afterwards. When we first had the problem,I put an Optima Yellow top in the car in May. The car was still going dead,in about two weeks it was flat,so we took it to Legends Honda(formerly Independence Honda) and they told me that the alarm system is a constant draw,it is drawing within approved specs, and we should keep it on a battery tender. I thought that was BS and I still do but now the car is sucking a fully charged battery dry in minutes when it is off and the alarm set. My question is twofold. 1. Has anyone had an issue remotely like this and what was the cause/solution? 2. I am looking for a COMPETENT/KNOWLEDGEABLE S2000 Tech in the Kansas City area. We live in Leavenworth,Ks. and have been to the two Honda stores closest to us and have been nothing short of underwhelmed. We also have a 1993 1.5 Civic DX that has around 167000 on it and a 1994 Accord DX automatic with almost 334000 miles on it and has never had valve or trans work. We took them to Legends and Tiffany Springs and thought they just wanted us to pay for their fancy digs, not fix my cars right. I worked in the car trade for 20 years as a back counterman for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury stores in Pa.,Co., and Wyoming so I know a rat,and these places seem to be just that. Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated as we want to drive the car more thn we have been able in the last year, but now I can't trust it.

Have you hooked a multi-meter up to see precisely how much it is drawing? That might narrow down the suspects some.

As far as local places to take it to, you'd probably have the best luck asking about that in the Kansas sub-forum: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/forum/104-kansas-s2000-club/

Why don't u try disconnecting the power to the alarm and see if the draining stops. If it doesn't then the problem is esle where and legends Honda is a liar.
