I've been experiencing somehow similar bogging. On partial throttle 10%TP just after idling for 20sec or so. Very similar to heat bogs, the car does not hesitate though, just takes time to pick up and finally picks up after 2 or 3 sec keeping the same 10% TP. I also did some AF reading and it goes 17-18 LEAN.

I'm a new S owner. Picked up my 04 on Sunday. I believe I am experiencing the same problem you guys are.
There is no CEL light but the car is extremely sluggish esp in the 2-5k range. The car is able to engage Vtec but is pretty anemic. The car also shudders from time to time at idle. I noted this issue with the dealership upon test driving the car-however, they assured me my car is covered under the Honda Certified Warranty.
I took the car back a day later after it was purchased and cited my issues. The service manager didn't seem to care about the specifics and just labeled the work order-"Re-check car".
I received the car back and the mechanic told me he doesn't drive an S on a daily basis so he wouldn't know how power feels. WOW!
I'd rather take it in to get further diagnosis from another dealership that has a S2000 specialist, or at least someone more familiar to the f22 engine.
For reference I have driven a friends bone sotck 05 S. The power out put is almost two times as much as mines...
There is no CEL so I don't think its a bent valve, esp. since its been babied in my possession for the past 48 hours.
Any ideas?
Btw I have seen the updated MAP with zip tie. My friend's 05 S came equipped with it...
On a side note... looks like the previous owner of my vehicle did the sensor WHACK a couple of times. There's a couple of dents on the plastic housing.

Do you know if the dealer performed a leak-down test on the engine as part of the certification inspection?

Yes, that was the first question I asked upon viewing of the S. I was concerned because i know previous owners may have over revved the engine and bent valves. Even though i dont have CEL i know i could still have (a bent valve) poor compression in one (or several) of the cylinders.
Im going to Honda World today to see if I can get a second opinion since Goudy didnt want to hear my claims.

So, I am reviving this thread because it is pretty informative compared to the others I have found about the MAP sensor/ stalling at idle problem.
I have an 03 at 53K miles with the UPDATED MAP sensor... a fancy ass ziptie around it
Basically, for the past week I have been experiencing stalling at stop lights, and sluggish starts from lights. It is extremely intermittent, sometimes the car will just bog down, other times it will actually die, and other times it is completely fine. Each time, it will start up again no problem. I gave the MAP sensor a few good whacks tonight, but I was wondering if anyone has found any other PERMANENT solutions to this problem.
Perhaps this is actually not the MAP sensor, and is pointing at another problem? I just had the same problem with my integra and after completing all of the HELMS troubleshooting, the problem mysteriously went away.... Is there something in the air here in Houston?

Make sure the TPS is still in working order. After dealing with the MAP issue for a while, the car started dieing at red lights. Turned out the TPS was flaky at idle, which required an entirely new throttle body
