i currently have tinted windows and im actually going to the darkest level in 2 weeks. i do find it to help, but i feel the focus is on the AC system itself.

If you haven't replaced the cabin air filter in a while, check it out. If it is dirty and clogged up it will lower the amount of air blowing through the vents.
can u shed some more light on this? i am unfamiliar with this - i will look in my helms when i get home.

My AC has always worked well. It cools the car down much quicker than any of my sedans or trucks but then again it's got a much smaller cabin space.

I'd check your Freon levels & the cabin filter
how does one check the freon levels?

sorry, i dont know anything about the ac system in our car or any car for that matter.

Try giving your condenser a good cleaning. Clogged condenser fins will cause higher pressure in the high side. Check the temp that the a/c is putting out by a thermometer in the passenger side vent on one of the lowest blower settings. If it cools below 50 degrees its working fine.

I've noticed that with days getting over 90 that this a/c doesn't get the cabin as cold as I'd like.

Most of the time I drive with recycle running and the fan speed high to keep it comfortable. We cannot forget a black cloth top just radiates heat down onto you.

Does this sound like what's happening with you?

Tell me about this replacement part.

My car sits outside all day and it gets cold right away. I run the fan at speed 2 the most .... this is in south Florida.

I would take the car to a shop and get the AC checked.

This was last saturday here:

Where did you move to texas from? Keep in mind that higher air temps affect how cool the system will get. So its possible that your system is working fine but your just used to what it puts out in an area thats not as hot.
