The cam idler gear has 2 notches that have to be flush with the head, and two notches on the cam sprockets that face each other. Those have to line up with a yellow notch on the crank pulley. In other words all the cam marks must line up with cylinder 1 at TDC.

If you can't line up the cams, you'll have to remove them and re-install them, that's if you're lucky and you didn't trash a valve or 5.
