Hey i have my06 and its the first time the change oil light came on, and im having troubles turning it off, iv tried holding the trip button down while turning the key on and still wont shut off, can someone help me or tell me what im doing wrong

sometimes you have to hold the button in for longer than you think; keep trying

Just happened to me yesterday, wasn't holding it long enough. Some how I manage to forget exactly how to do it even though I've done it half a dozen times now.

You have to turn the key to position two, hold down trip and sel. Keep holding them. Turn the key back off. Turn it back on while still holding and then start the car.

on an 06 just turn the key to pos 2 and hold the trip button for like 20-30 sec. it will start to flash. then let go of trip and hold trip again. hold it until you see it reset.

iv done that and held it for longer then a minute dont even get to a flash

Works for me just like MasterForce said. Have you held it after turning the key or have you been turning the key at the same time on each attempt?

iv tried both ways..still cant get it to turn off lol

you cant do it with the car is running. try it when you put the key in at first then follow my steps. just did mine last week
