I have a stock 2003 S2000 bought last April, with 5600 miles. My only maintenance has been to change the oil. I haven't driven it much for the last few months as weather has turned wetter here on the west side of the Puget Sound. I noticed a few weeks ago that the "Maintenance required" light came on for a short time (10-15 seconds) while normal driving on the highway, then went off. Haven't seen it since while driving, but it does stay on and blink for 5-10 seconds after starting, which it did not do in the past. Any ideas?

same thing just happened to my 03 s2000. i read the owners manual and it stated that when the odometer turns over to 6000 miles the maintenence required comes on to remind you to get the oil changed and have the car checked out. if you read your owners manual it will tell you how to make the light go away.
