Maintenance Required Light
Maintenance Required Light flashed three times and went off. I'm at 52,923 Miles BTW
YES- I read the manual.
Here is the question:
Im assuming this is where my service shop doesn't know how to reset it when they do my oil changes.
But could it be something else, I would just like to know before I reset it.

The light does not know if service is performed. If your service shop did not reset it, you are welcome to do it. There is no other function of the light other than a mileage indicator - it starts to flash around 6k miles after being reset and comes on solid after about 7.5k miles.
It can be manually reset by following the instruction in your owner's manual (that you read )

I change the oil in all of my two cars and truck, just not my S. I would just rather have a professional do it, Besides its a friend who does it at a local shop (I don't live close to a Honda Place)
And you can reset the light, the instructions are in the owners manual.
Thanks CoralDoc, I read that much in the manual, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't there to indicate anything else besides a Service Notice.
