Maintenance intervals
Ok, so we picked up an MY07 last week w/ 33k miles.
I'm planning on doing fresh oil this weekend and then the diff and trans next weekend so I can be sure everything is fresh as I dont know when or if they had ever been changed. Plugs should be shortly after.
My question is, what are the typical change intervals recommended for the trans, rear diff and plugs? I know the car has a maintenance minder but is that accurate?
What are your suggestions?
Also, I've managed to find out what fluids to use but I havent gotten info on plugs yet. Whats the norm for replacement plugs?

Congrats! Great color. Plugs are ~100k. Some people replace them ~80k-ish. The service intervals are available online through Honda Owner Link. People tend to do the diff fluid more often if they're aggressive with the car. Ranging from 5k miles to 15k mile intervals.
Oh, and check your cabin air filter. Probably filthy.

i've also got a MY07, just hit 20k miles. i haven't been able to find actual mileage intervals for maintenance either...even the FSM refers to the Maintenance Minder System for performing fluid changes. at 20k miles i have only had the "engine oil life" warning come up on the Maintenance Minder, no other maintenance warnings have shown up. i've been changing the oil @ 5k intervals and resetting the Maintenance Minder. fwiw, i changed the trans and diff fluid last weekend during my oil change - the trans is a bit smoother now, the diff oil did not appear to be in bad shape but there was a bit of gunk on the magnet. one bit of info from the FSM tho, it says to change diff oil @ 15k miles under hard service, which it describes as "driving in mountainous areas". as far as plugs, FSM says either NGK PFR7G-11S or DENSO PK22PR-L11S gapped at .039-.043, but again no change interval given.

You can follow the service manual for correct and safe intervals or you can be more conservative as most are concerning this car. Halve the suggestions in the SM and gain the great feeling that you are taking very good care of your car.
Way to early to worry about plugs and would assume they will let you know when they need to be changed.

The 06+ don't have regular mileage intervals listed anywhere, they use the maintenance minder system. It will give you Letter/Number service reminders that correspond to a chart in the owners manual. Or you can use the mileage intervals from an earlier model.

I 'm pretty sure that it's all based on the amount of RPM 's accumulated. The maintanance minder will normally show up between 6-7.5k dependent on how the car was driven. There is a sub-note that the oil should be changed yearly regardless of the maintanance minder. You could make a good estimation using %(oil life) left before maintanance required.
