I bought a set of Magnetic drain Bolts about 2 weeks ago and installed them. I just realized I put the long magnet in the transmission and the short one in the oil pan. Can This cause any damage to my transmission? Is the magnet short for a certian reason? I have only driven the car 50-60 miles with no problems. Thanks for any help.

I believe you have them in correct, but I don't have the magnetic type.

Will the long tip in the tranny do any damage? Or should I Just swap them out during the next change?

I have the Password:JDM one and the long one goes into the Oil pan and the short one goes into the tranny. I say swap them when you have a chance, since it was design for clearance. When I change my oil I did notice small metal part in the oil, it was like fine metal dusts. Can't wait to see what the tranny look like.
