Default M3 differential fluid

Ok, I have some left over differential fluid for my M3 and I was wondering if I can use this on the S2000? They are genuine E46 M3 fluid that I bought from the dealership for $25/qt. Any suggestions?

Depending on the weight.... You need to find that out and youll have your answer.

Worst case you need 1 quart of mobil from any autoparts store for $10-$12.

Good luck!

it will work, but it's on the thicker side of fluid, a 75w110 might be a better match to the spec related to our diff. I've been told that my Amsoil 75w140 is overkill for a dd street driven S2K, though it will work. I'm going to run mine for one season and see how it goes.

The S2000 does not use "differential fluid" it uses "SAE 90 viscosity hypoid gear oil, API service classified GL5 or GL6 only". Endless discussions on what's "best" we really don't need to rehash yet again other than you'll not find any GL6, nor is it better than GL5.
